How do we write? What's our inspitarion? My Gosh, I have so many questions! Do they have answers? I don't know either. Perhaps each one has their own responses, but I can talk a little bit about it by using my point of view.
There are many levels of writing, we can say that the first one is the mechanical act of taking a pen or pencil (whatever) and draw letters; in the second one, we try to put these letters together and make readble words; in the third place we can write sentences and then a text. But you know... That's a very, very superficial explanation, because there are an uncountable number of processes, including mental and noetical ones that we can not explain.
When we are in front of a blank paper, we think such a lot of things before beginning to write, they are just floating on our mind and we should catch and organize them in words. It's incredible how this transmutation is difficult. Voilà l'expression! I may say that the perfect expression is impossible, because we cannot desbribe our thoughts like they are, it's like trying to explicate how we are walking, we do not think about, we just do it. Thoughts are automatic, too. Meditation tries to avoid a line, a sequence of, but not them theirselves.
Now, try to explain someone your thoughts. Difficult, isn't it? When you write, it's even difficult, you do not have your interlocutor in front of you, so you should choose words that will make your ideas understandable without having anyone to talk to at the same time, that is, no interaction. Can you understand me?
Namaste!
